All the fun of Spring

 The success of your Summer depends on how you manage Spring!

This is a super busy season where many different activities all happen in a short time.   We discover some of our colonies are weak or have died and others are really strong.  The spring turnover from Winter to Spring bees is a delicate time.  Strategy is needed to build up colonies ready for the coming nectar flows, dealing with Spring weather, swarm management, colony splits, early queen rearing, Varroa control, and much more to get our colonies ready for Summer.

You have invested in your bees and equipment and now is the time to give them the best chance to thrive. Whether you've been keeping bees for a few years or still feel fairly new to it, this is for you.  Advice from a professional beekeeper who started where you did with just a few hives.

Through the Better Beekeeping Academy you will receive mentoring through March, April & May. During the three months mentoring, you will be guided through the seasonal activities for all things beekeeping. We will focus on: honey bee nutrition, apiary & colony management, pests & diseases, managing nectar flows and honey.  This is designed for beekeepers of all levels, all are welcome.

 What you'll get:

• Live group calls with Richard Noel every two weeks through March, April & May
• Q & A sessions where you can learn why your bees might behaving a certain way and what to do about it
• Free access to the Academy Community. This is a dedicated space where you can share experiences, make new friends, connect and learn from other beekeepers.  There is a news feed, chat space and you can even arrange online meet ups with your favourite members
• Resources and tips relevant to the season along with guidance and encouragement to help develop your bee craft
• Priority access to one to ones with Richard, if you want to delve deeper and advance your skills faster this could benefit you.
